What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a permanent replacement for a lost tooth. Each element of a natural tooth is replicated by hard-wearing restorations in the implant process. First a titanium screw is implanted into the jaw bone to act as a new root for your tooth. Over time, this implant will fuse with the jawbone, providing a strong and stable foundation for your new tooth.
Next an abutment (or connector) is fixed to the implant which provides the support for the dental crown (or prosthetic tooth). The implant process leaves you with a replenished smile and your new dental crown or crowns look and feel completely natural.
