A dental implant is a permanent replacement for a lost tooth. Each element of a natural tooth is replicated by hard-wearing restorations in the implant process. First a titanium screw is implanted into the jaw bone to act as a new root for your tooth. Over time, this implant will fuse with the jawbone, providing a strong and stable foundation for your new tooth.
Next an abutment (or connector) is fixed to the implant which provides the support for the dental crown (or prosthetic tooth). The implant process leaves you with a replenished smile and your new dental crown or crowns look and feel completely natural.

Whether you are looking to replace missing teeth or a single tooth, we can use dental implants to provide stable and supported replacements for life. Implants allow you to regain the look, feel and function of natural teeth, without the worry that your restoration will slip or fail.
A missing tooth can significantly affect the way you eat, speak, and feel. A gap can cause your facial shape to lose structure, as your gum can shrink, and remaining teeth move over time. Dental implants not only restore your smile, but they can also greatly improve your quality of life and self-confidence. You no longer need to worry about avoiding certain foods and can feel happy about showing off your smile again.
Our team of dentists are advanced practitioners of dental implant treatments. This means we can perform more complex procedures as well as simple single tooth implants.
At The Dental & Cosmetic Clinic we offer immediate implant placement. This is ideal for patients who require a planned dental extraction as we can fill the gap with a natural-looking implant straight away. This means no one needs to know that you ever had a tooth removed and the replacement will look just like your natural tooth.
We also offer implant retained dentures and implant retained bridges – a great solution for patients who have lost multiple teeth or have lost an entire arch of upper or lower teeth. While implant retained dentures are removable, implant retained bridges are fixed in place, offering a permanent replacement to your lost teeth.
Occasionally additional treatments are needed prior to implants being placed in the jawbone. This is often due to bone loss (or shrinkage). In such cases, we can perform a number of advanced treatments such as guided bone regeneration, tissue regeneration, bone grafting and sinus lifts.
At The Dental & Cosmetic Clinic, we offer patients the latest and most advanced level of implant dentistry. All three of our lead dentists provide this transformative treatment, leaving patients smiling with confidence and improving their oral health.
